We’re teachers seeding pearls, you know...
  Doing some insemination,
  Planting bits of inspiration
And watching pearls of wisdom grow
(An excerpt from BRAIN STEMMED ROSES...)

Seeding Pearls

We’re teachers seeding pearls, you know...
  Doing some insemination,
  Planting bits of inspiration
And watching pearls of wisdom grow

But some pearls are poisoned
Falling short of desired perfection
It’s a hall of mirrors
Showing wisdom’s twisted reflection

Poison Pearls of wisdom,
No matter how they come,
They are the seeds, you see,
That sprout into perfidy

The Preachers’ congregation’s confused
When trust, wife and children are abused...
Sophistry, twisting logic to one’s own use,
Fallacious reasoning turns into abuse,

Sending women and children forth to die,
Taking their own lives in a reign of terror,
Dying only so that others will die,
Honor and Sacrifice’s twisted mirror...

How much better, though, is the politician?
Who, citing “Weapons of Mass Destruction,”
Will bring ruin to his own population
More surely than outside intervention!

    Seeds of Doubt,
    Seeds of Destruction,
    Knowledge without wisdom,
    Children killing children,
    Seeds that lead
    To Death and Devastation.

The irregular structure of this poem contributes to its' message in that the reader is not allowed to anticipate what will come next, and I find it to be especially pertinent in the light of the near execution of a Columbine-type slaughter averted only yesterday!

note...  (10/25/2006) I actually included this page prior to the incidents over the last month that occurred in Colorado and Pennsylvania.  The incident that I referred to seems to have lost interest for the national news once the other occurrences took place, however, if someone hadn't blown the whistle on them, it could have been much worse than any other incident this year, using home made napalm as well as guns...               >^.Karl!
